Dear Mr. Geraci:

I have been Involved in Seismic prospecting of hydrocarbons for 21 years now. More specifically I have been involved in the near coastal transition zone areas. Before I started using your vessels some 15 odd years ago, we were forced to compromise the scientific data we were gathering due to an inability to safely negotiate this terrain in operations.

At first, the arrival of your vessels assisted in the placement of explosive charges beneath the earth surface. This was accomplished by mounting drilling equipment on the stable work platform your vessel provided. The ability to "JackuUp" above wave action and high current situations was crucial to our success. Not only were we able to perform where we previously could not, we also gained a significant productivity enhancement.

As the advent of new technologies were introduced in our business and with the proliferation of 3D exploration, new challenges were given to your vessels. Each and every advance that was made was matched by the well chosen design of the vessels. This applies to the operational applications and also to the logistical ones as well. Our business necessitates being there at a moments notice and the ability to transport your vessels so readily has always been an asset. I have conducted 25 or so 3D surveys In the Gulf Coast Region and 3 overseas using your vessels as well as countless 2D Surveys and have experienced unmatched productivity, unparalleled reliability and no accidents to date. My crews working on the vessels are the most important part of the operations and it was always reassuring to know they would be safe in the conduct of their work with the use of your vessels.

l have no reservations in wholeheartedly endorsing the use of your vessels for any shallow water project, whether it be in search of oil and gas or any other task where safety and reliability are a major concern.

Dear Ernie:

It has been almost a year since you delivered our Shallow Draft Elevating Boat to Fayetteville1 NC and just wanted to let you know what a great job she is doing. This boat has made a world of difference in our Geotechnical Investigations on the water. She makes life drilling on the water safer, faster, and more enjoyable. It could in the past take an entire day to relocate to the next drill hole, now it takes just a few minutes. Accuracy has now been enhanced since we use GPS, we can now set up on a hole as close as one meter. The boat has been on the move across the state this year. Fayetteville, Manteo, Greenville, Havelock, Murphy, and Wilson. The crew likes how easy it is to prepare the boat for transport on the road. Looking forward to 1998 Barge jobs and this is something we did not do in the past. Thanks again for building such a strong vessel it makes our work so much easier to perform

As you know, our 1-65 drilling project for the Barren River Bridge in Bowling Green, Kentucky was completed on schedule without any significant problems, even though additional borings were added and the river was above its banks for a significant period during drilling operations. We attribute a large measure of this success to the equipment and personnel provided by SDEBI. Delivery was on time and your set-up crew assembled and launched the barge in short order. The barge and equipment that you provided were in excellent condition and performed without any problem. The jack-up barge System made it possible to perform the required core drilling while the river elevation fluctuated dramatically from day to day.

We sincerely appreciate the service and equipment SDEBI provided for this project and hope to work with you again in the future.
